1794 Compass Rose Global Forever Stamp
Celebrate global connections with the new Global Forever stamp from the U.S. Postal Service, featuring a vibrant 18th-century compass rose.
This colorful 32-point compass rose was hand-drawn in 1794 by Lucia Wadsworth, at just 10 years old. Her vivid blue, red, yellow, and green design, from the Collections of Maine Historical Society, beautifully reflects both creativity and navigation.
Traditionally found on maps, compass roses indicate directions and help orient travelers. This design recalls early mapmaking and the spirit of exploration.
Designed by Greg Breeding, the round Global Forever stamp can be used to mail a one-ounce letter to any country served by First-Class Mail International. Issued in self-adhesive panes of 10.
