Purpose of the Stamp
This stamp was issued to add an elegant touch to wedding RSVP cards, party invitations, thank you notes, announcements, and other celebratory mail.
Design Details
The stamp features a photograph of a boutonni??re composed of a burgundy mini cymbidium orchid, a succulent, green hydrangea, and lily grass. The floral arrangement was designed by Carol Caggiano and photographed by Ren??e Comet.
First Day of Issue
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the First Day of Issue Ceremony was canceled. However, the First Day of Issue postmark originated from Crestwood, Kentucky.
Historical and Cultural Significance
