Vibrant Leaves Postcard Stamps
The U.S. Postal Service celebrates the beauty of autumn with a set of Vibrant Leaves postcard stamps, each featuring a colorful leaf from a different tree species.
The five leaves showcased include:
- Aspen : Golden, fluttering leaves known for their distinctive rustle.
- Sassafras : Bright yellow-orange with a citrusy aroma and rich botanical history.
- Oak : Russet-hued and vital to forest ecosystems with food-rich acorns.
- Maple : Vivid red leaves from trees prized for their maple syrup sap.
- Sweetgum : Deep red leaves from trees that produce a fragrant resin.
Designed by Antonio Alcal using existing photographs, these stamps evoke the colors and textures of fall. Marked POSTCARD, they are always valid for the current postcard rate just like Forever stamps are for First-Class Mail.
