First Day City: There was no formal First Day of Issue Ceremony, but the First Day of Issue postmark came from Kansas City, Missouri, home to USPS Stamp Fulfillment Services.

About the Floral Geometry set: The first two stamps, $2 and $5, were issued in 2022. As the denomination increases, the geometric complexity of each stamp grows, with the $10 stamp being the most intricate. All stamps include watercolor backgrounds and foil stamping, created by Spaeth Hill.

History the stamp represents: Flowers are not only beautiful but also carry a hidden mathematical principle that makes them visually striking. This principle is known as the Fibonacci spiral, based on the Fibonacci sequence.

The Fibonacci sequence is a pattern of numbers where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. It starts with 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and so on. Introduced in India around 200 BC, the sequence made its way to Europe in the 1200s, thanks to an Italian mathematician who published it in his book Liber Abaci.

The Fibonacci sequence can create a series of connected squares, each with sides of lengths corresponding to the next number in the sequence. When these squares are arranged in a spiral, either clockwise or counterclockwise, it forms the Fibonacci spiral.
